Conservation is part of our jaguar safari approach.
As passionate nature lovers and photographers we feel a responsibility to support conservation programs and wildlife research initiatives. It provides us with an even greater understanding of the jaguar population and the health of the entire Pantanal ecosystem.
The jaguar is still facing threats, mainly from cattle farming and large plantations.
Luckily, due to tourism the value of the jaguar has gone up and more local communities understand the possibility to co-survive with the jaguar by offering nature tours.
We support jaguar research by donating a camera trap to the Jaguar identification Project for each client that books a tour with us. As a guest you will receive a jaguar identification guide to learn more about the jaguar and the individuals of the Northern Pantanal. The guide is purchased by us and that supports the project as well.
On our safari we have the option to request a presentation about the Jaguar identification project by one of the team members or founders (depend on availability of the project team members).
Spotting a jaguar is truly a breathtaking experience. This Apex predator of the Pantanal knows how to leave an impression. Their confidence both on land and in the water makes them amazing to observe and photograph. Where many of the big cats rest during the day, the jaguar is more active and an opportunistic hunter.
